Trust Manager

  • Work alongside highly specialised partners in one of the largest private client teams in the Midlands.
  • A rare opportunity open to candidates from a variety of backgrounds—including legal, accounting, or tax—with strong numeracy skills.
  • Enjoy a high salary, bonus scheme, and excellent flexibility, including part-time and seasonal working options.

This is a unique opportunity to manage complex trusts for high-net-worth families, working on international assets and multi-currency accounts. You’ll be part of a leading team that provides highly specialised advice on tax, estate planning, and trust management.

Whether you come from an accounting, legal, or tax compliance background, this role offers a chance to work at the highest level while maintaining autonomy over your workload. There are no set targets—your work will be deadline-driven based on tax return deadlines and client needs, rather than strict billing requirements.

With one experienced team member set to retire and another with over 15 years in the role, this is an opportunity to step into a well-supported team and make the role your own.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re open to a variety of backgrounds, but you must have strong numeracy skills and an interest in trust management. Ideal candidates might have:

  • Accounting qualifications (AAT, ACA, ACCA) or extensive experience in tax compliance.
  • Legal experience (solicitor or legal executive with expertise in trust accounting).
  • Experience working in tax compliance or financial advisory.
  • A strong ability to handle complex financial figures—the technical skills can be taught.
  • A preference for behind-the-scenes work with the option for client contact as needed.

Salary & Benefits

  • Salary: £45,000 – £60,000 DOE + bonus.
  • Flexible working: Part-time and even seasonal work options (e.g., more hours in winter, fewer in summer).
  • No fee-earning targets—workload is deadline-based rather than driven by billing requirements.
  • Opportunity to work on high-level, cross-border matters, managing trusts for international clients.
  • Support from an experienced, well-established team with plenty of training and development opportunities.
