  • Inherit a thriving £200k caseload and make the role your own
  • Work on high-value city-quality matters without the city-centre commute
  • Enjoy autonomy, flexibility and a down-to-earth, long-standing team

This is a rare opportunity for a Commercial Property Associate Solicitor to take the reins of a well-established caseload. You’ll be stepping into the shoes of a respected, long-serving lawyer, with full support to make the role your own and carve out your own path.

Based in Wigan, you’ll join one of the North West’s largest regional commercial property teams – a team that offers the quality of work you’d expect to find in Manchester, combined with the balance, collaboration and genuine community focus of a local firm. You’ll handle a wide-ranging caseload, including development work, housing association instructions, major refinancing deals, and SME leases, while supporting and mentoring junior members of the team.

In the first six months, you’ll take ownership of your caseload and begin integrating into the team. By year one, you’ll be consistently billing and building rapport with inherited clients, and by year two, you’ll have established yourself as a key senior figure, with the opportunity to grow your own small client base if desired.

Who we’re looking for

  • 3+ years’ PQE
  • Able to manage a varied commercial property caseload from start to finish
  • Commercially minded and confident building client relationships
  • Collaborative, level-headed and keen to support more junior colleagues
  • Strong technical expertise in commercial property and excellent communication skills

Salary & Benefits

  • Competitive salary based on experience
  • No set office days – most of the team opt to come in twice per week
  • Free on-site parking
  • 9–5 hours as standard (6pm is considered a late finish)
  • Rock-solid job security – very low turnover in the team
  • Clear path for progression – you’ll be stepping into a senior associate’s role
  • Autonomy and direct client contact from day one
  • Supportive, no-ego environment where people stay long-term
